Lady Bird Lake is a dammed stretch of the Colorado running straight through downtown, and motorised boats are banned on it — so it is glass most mornings and evenings.
We launch below the towers, work east past Rainey Street, and turn at the point where the skyline lines up behind you. First-timers stand up within ten minutes; the guide stays with anyone who would rather kneel.
