Mount Bonnell has been the view since the 1850s: 775 feet up, with Lake Austin below and the hills running west. It is 102 steps from the car park and there is nowhere better to be forty minutes before sunset.
We pick you up downtown, drive the river road, and get you there ahead of the crowd with a spot held. A photographer comes along and will take the one good photo of your group that nobody has to volunteer to miss.
Back downtown by an hour after dark.

Put “Mount Bonnell Golden Hour & Lake Austin” in a day of your own, add the other stops, and we'll sort the driver.
It was a wonderful visit and everything went smoothly. Even though we arrived late, they let us in without fuss. Thank you — it was a really great experience.
Small-van days out to the swimming holes, the granite and the wine road.
Booking was instant and the QR voucher worked first time at the gate. We'd have spent an hour in the queue otherwise.
Great experience, clear instructions on where to meet. Only wish the audio guide had a German option for the last section.
Easy with two children — the timed slot meant no waiting around. The staff were patient and friendly.
Exactly as described. Confirmation email arrived within seconds and the reminder the day before was a nice touch.
Very good. The meeting point was a little hard to find but the guide called us straight away.
